Why hire a professional organizer?

Decluttering and organizing can be a big project and things usually look worse before they look better.  This can be overwhelming and quite frankly discouraging.  A professional organizer can ensure that the project moves ahead smoothly and gets finished, and that a custom system is created so that you can easily maintain the space.  I will offer support, advice and explain any systems created so that you can have a fully functional and beautiful space you can enjoy.

Do I have to get rid of all my stuff? What happens to the items that I do not want anymore?

I am not a true minimalist and I don't expect you to be either.  However, if you have too much stuff, no amount of organizing will solve the problem of too much stuff.  I love helping people evaluate their items to see if they are truly practical or "spark joy" items, or if they are hanging onto it because of guilt, obligation or scarcity mentality. I promise, having less stuff will make you feel lighter and more joyful.  Any items that can be donated I will take with me at the end of the session so you don't have to worry about scheduling a time to drop them off yourself.  

I am ready to move forward, so how does this work? 

 

I will book a complimentary in-home consultation to see your space and discuss what is or isn’t working for you, as well as your goals for the space.  I will then send you a quote to organize the space, including any recommended product.  When you are ready to move forward, I will send you a client agreement and book a time and date that works best for you!

Do I have to buy organizational products? Who goes shopping for these items? 

This depends on your budget and what can be utilized from your home.  I always try to "shop your home" before bringing anything new in.  Organization products are not always required but they really can transform a space so that it is at its most efficient.   After recommendations are approved I will shop for these items for you so that you don't have to worry about getting supplies before the session!

Do I need to be there for the session?

I do recommend that you are present at the beginning of the session so that we can edit the space together.  Otherwise we can work together to get the space finished as quickly as possible or you can leave the magic up to me!

What forms of payment do you accept?

I currently accept e-transfer, cash and cheque.
